There will always be things that happen that you can’t be ready for.
Regardless of how far off things may seem, fail to plan, then plan to fail. Knowing you have a contingency plan and you are ready for the day will help you to face it with confidence. Being prepared may have a bit of a geeky reputation, but it's worth it. When time and effort is invested into preparation, confidence and courage grows.
Preparations are not just precautions to protect yourself when tragedy strikes. They can be and it is helpful to prepare in this way but also they are a way to create a future you can grow into. They are a way to start a change that you would like to see. When the thing we want to see seems so far away it is tempting to do nothing. Don’t give up, just think about what you can do and enjoy that for what it is.
Use your strength and courage when preparing so when the day comes that you need to display them you will be used to using them. Do not be afraid or discouraged by where you are or what you need to do to reach your DAGA (Dreams, Ambitions, Goals and Aspirations), just press on and prepare. Take pains and invest in your preparation and don’t cut corners. Devote yourself to it as if the things you desire are already yours and one day they will be. This will use and develop your TAGS (Talents, Abilities, Gifts and Skills) in a way that will bring meaning and significance to today. You can’t guarantee what the future will bring but if you do prepare you will be ready for it.
